About us

L’École du Parc

L’École du Parc is a small, bilingual nursery school where children build confidence through play, care and meaningful everyday conversations in French and English.

How it all started

L’École du Parc was established in July 2002 by professional parents in Clapham along with an experienced team of Early Years teachers. Due to ever stronger demand, the school has grown over the past 20 years. We are keen to remain a small nursery school in order to retain a nurturing and caring family atmosphere.

What makes us special

• Classes of 10–16 children — small enough for every child to be seen and supported

• Choose French immersion or a bilingual French-English programme

• Forest school sessions at Clapham Common every trimester (spring and summer terms)

• One theme per half-term — each ending in a workshop or a class outing

• An active Parents' Association and a warm community of families

Our teaching team

Our teaching team is made up of qualified and energetic teachers and teaching assistants who are dedicated to providing a varied and stimulating educational curriculum which is tailored to individual needs. Our Early Years teachers use a number of different educational approaches (including the  Montessori approach) which perfectly complement the English and French curricula.

In our French immersion classes, all staff members are French speakers. In our bilingual class, the team is split between French and English speakers.
